All About Me …

I am a thirty something woman who dwells in the Antipodes.   This blog documents my spiritual journey as enacted through sewing projects where I refine my soul by persevering through the difficulty and challenges they present.

As I sew I will also be reflecting on women in my life who sew to present a sociocultural story of sewing in my family and in my community. The women in my family are pretty special – aware, funny, authentic as well as realists and feminists who are well read and share their thoughts.

It is my hope that my mother and grandmother will share their skills to help me even though they both previously gave up on me ever learning to sew! If you are reading this and want to help me in getting them to open up their secret sewing boxes of knowledge then please leave some comments asking them to share their wisdom with me!

Alternately if you know how to sew and can relate to the particular disaster I have on my hands, please feel free to do so 🙂  Or if you just want to share one of your own sewing disasters … well that’s just fine as well …
